- Acid - Hydrochloric Acid
- Base - Sodium Hydrlxide
- Test Tube Rack with test tubes
- Universal Indicator
Instructions
- Get your equipment.
- Put 10 drops of Universal Indicator into the test tube.
- Add different amounts of acid and base into the test tube.
- Watch what happens to the colour.

When you take a acid and a base and put them together they will neutralize.
What is an acid? A substance with particular chemical properties including turning litmus red, neutralizing alkalis, and dissolving some metals
What are the pH colours? Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Violet
How do you measure acid levels? The range goes from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral.
