Crises

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk/show you my work I have bean doing for health. We had to pick 3 Crises and write about them and then do one big Crises that you our going to do a lot of work about. I did 5 Crises and did plenty of information on each slide. I chose: Tourettes, Diabetes, Blindness, Heart Cancer and Covid 19. I did most of my work on Heart Cancer and Covid 19.

Event/History

Hello welcome to my blog post today I am going to shear about my work I have been doing. We had to choose and event that has happen. The event I chose was The 7 wonder of the world, yea I know that isn't a big event but it had Information. I also did one about the first car: like who it was made by and what it looked like. The Wonders of The World are: Taj Mahal, the Colosseum, the Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu, Christ the Redeemer, Petra, and the Great Wall of China.

Earthquakes Christchurch 2011 work......

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about my work that I did for hur1. We had to answer some questions on the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes. Three of the questions was How have the Christchurch earthquakes had an impact on our city, What positive or negative have come from the quakes and What are some changes that citizens have made to prevent damage happening from potential future earthquakes?

Here is my work.

Q1: How have the Christchurch earthquakes had an impact on our city? The Christchurch earthquakes caused a significant change to the natural environment, including liquefaction, lateral spread near waterways, land level changes, and numerous rockfalls and landslides. They also help the cities by knocking the buildings down so people can make the buildings stronger and harder to knock down. 

Q2: What positive or negative have come from the quakes? Earthquakes can cause flooding and grounds

to crack open and the earth will eat you. When a strong earthquake occurs underwater, it changes the level

of the seabed and causes the water level to either rise or fall. They can help homeless people by making

stuff like trees to fall down and they could make them into houses.

Q3: What are some changes that citizens have made to prevent damage happening from potential future

earthquakes? Humans have made stuff bigger and smaller but they are a bit stronger than they used to

be like they put metal bars in the walls to hold them up. They have also reinforced the motor ways so they

won't fall down.

Science Work

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about our science work. We had to answer three questions that was linked to mars. 

Here are the questions and answers. 

1. In your own words, summarise what happens at the Mars Desert Research Centre. The research station is in the Utah Desert, where the grand/surrounding is similar to that on Mars. Six person crews stay at the station for two weeks, learning what it might be like to live and work on the planet.

2. What did Haritina find difficult about being at the research centre? Why? Being at the station is nothing like a nine to five job. You’re there 24/7, and it’s a completely foreign environment.

3. Why do you think it is important for astronauts to practice in an environment like this before heading into Space? Making shore that they have a lot of food and water.

Protest Work Hur1

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about my Hur 1 Protest work we have bean doing. We had to pick a protest to read about and get information about it and do some questions from a sheet that was like a bingo board. For my questions I did: Interesting Fact, Main Ideas and Make 3 questions on what the story was about. The ones I did mine about was Anti-Vietnam War Protests 1960s, Parihaka 1881 and the Depression Riots, 1932 it was pretty easy to get the info because of how much info there was in the writing.

Navigation in Space

 Hello welcome to my blog today I am going to talk about Navigation in Space. 

Question 1: What is a Solar System? What is the Milky Way an example of? A Solar System is the smallest of the three systems in a question. A solar system has a start, such as the sun and effected by its gravity. A solar system also contains 8 planets and there moons in orbit around the sun. The planets are in order of distance away from the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The Milky way is the galaxy that contains our solar system. The Milky Way contains over 200 BILLION different stars. The Solar System orbits the Galaxy as we do the sun. It takes earth solar system 200-250 million years to complete orbit the Galaxy. 

Question 2: What is a Star? Describe a Nebula. A star is a big ball of magma formed/held together by gravity, A star is also a big ball of gas. The closest star to earth is the sun and the fairest star from earth is located about 5 billion light years from Earth. A Nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space. A Nebula can also be created by some dust by and exploded star some where in the Galaxy. 

Question 3: How do Stars die? Stars die by when there nuclear fuel is exhausted. When the star has used all of it nuclear fuel it starts to collapses and the outer layers explode as a supernova. 

Question 4: Is there an up and down in space. There is an up and down in space. Down is simply the direction gravity is pulling you, and up is just the opposite direction. Since there is gravity everywhere in space, there is also an up and down everywhere in space. 

Question 5: How can stars be used to navigate. The North Star moves in a very small circle above the north celestial pole, while all the other stars in the Northern Hemisphere rotate around it. Because Polaris appears stationary in the night sky, seafarers can easily find true north by locating the North Star.
