Crises

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk/show you my work I have bean doing for health. We had to pick 3 Crises and write about them and then do one big Crises that you our going to do a lot of work about. I did 5 Crises and did plenty of information on each slide. I chose: Tourettes, Diabetes, Blindness, Heart Cancer and Covid 19. I did most of my work on Heart Cancer and Covid 19.

Event/History

Hello welcome to my blog post today I am going to shear about my work I have been doing. We had to choose and event that has happen. The event I chose was The 7 wonder of the world, yea I know that isn't a big event but it had Information. I also did one about the first car: like who it was made by and what it looked like. The Wonders of The World are: Taj Mahal, the Colosseum, the Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu, Christ the Redeemer, Petra, and the Great Wall of China.

Earthquakes Christchurch 2011 work......

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about my work that I did for hur1. We had to answer some questions on the 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes. Three of the questions was How have the Christchurch earthquakes had an impact on our city, What positive or negative have come from the quakes and What are some changes that citizens have made to prevent damage happening from potential future earthquakes?

Here is my work.

Q1: How have the Christchurch earthquakes had an impact on our city? The Christchurch earthquakes caused a significant change to the natural environment, including liquefaction, lateral spread near waterways, land level changes, and numerous rockfalls and landslides. They also help the cities by knocking the buildings down so people can make the buildings stronger and harder to knock down. 

Q2: What positive or negative have come from the quakes? Earthquakes can cause flooding and grounds

to crack open and the earth will eat you. When a strong earthquake occurs underwater, it changes the level

of the seabed and causes the water level to either rise or fall. They can help homeless people by making

stuff like trees to fall down and they could make them into houses.

Q3: What are some changes that citizens have made to prevent damage happening from potential future

earthquakes? Humans have made stuff bigger and smaller but they are a bit stronger than they used to

be like they put metal bars in the walls to hold them up. They have also reinforced the motor ways so they

won't fall down.

Science Work

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about our science work. We had to answer three questions that was linked to mars. 

Here are the questions and answers. 

1. In your own words, summarise what happens at the Mars Desert Research Centre. The research station is in the Utah Desert, where the grand/surrounding is similar to that on Mars. Six person crews stay at the station for two weeks, learning what it might be like to live and work on the planet.

2. What did Haritina find difficult about being at the research centre? Why? Being at the station is nothing like a nine to five job. You’re there 24/7, and it’s a completely foreign environment.

3. Why do you think it is important for astronauts to practice in an environment like this before heading into Space? Making shore that they have a lot of food and water.

Protest Work Hur1

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about my Hur 1 Protest work we have bean doing. We had to pick a protest to read about and get information about it and do some questions from a sheet that was like a bingo board. For my questions I did: Interesting Fact, Main Ideas and Make 3 questions on what the story was about. The ones I did mine about was Anti-Vietnam War Protests 1960s, Parihaka 1881 and the Depression Riots, 1932 it was pretty easy to get the info because of how much info there was in the writing.

Navigation in Space

 Hello welcome to my blog today I am going to talk about Navigation in Space. 

Question 1: What is a Solar System? What is the Milky Way an example of? A Solar System is the smallest of the three systems in a question. A solar system has a start, such as the sun and effected by its gravity. A solar system also contains 8 planets and there moons in orbit around the sun. The planets are in order of distance away from the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The Milky way is the galaxy that contains our solar system. The Milky Way contains over 200 BILLION different stars. The Solar System orbits the Galaxy as we do the sun. It takes earth solar system 200-250 million years to complete orbit the Galaxy. 

Question 2: What is a Star? Describe a Nebula. A star is a big ball of magma formed/held together by gravity, A star is also a big ball of gas. The closest star to earth is the sun and the fairest star from earth is located about 5 billion light years from Earth. A Nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space. A Nebula can also be created by some dust by and exploded star some where in the Galaxy. 

Question 3: How do Stars die? Stars die by when there nuclear fuel is exhausted. When the star has used all of it nuclear fuel it starts to collapses and the outer layers explode as a supernova. 

Question 4: Is there an up and down in space. There is an up and down in space. Down is simply the direction gravity is pulling you, and up is just the opposite direction. Since there is gravity everywhere in space, there is also an up and down everywhere in space. 

Question 5: How can stars be used to navigate. The North Star moves in a very small circle above the north celestial pole, while all the other stars in the Northern Hemisphere rotate around it. Because Polaris appears stationary in the night sky, seafarers can easily find true north by locating the North Star.

Bright Find Gold

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about my ready/ social study's. We have read and article called Bright Find Gold. We had to to some task like some interesting facts about the gold mine. Our next task was we had to do some task's about the Chinese. 

This is my first task about the gold mine. Gold was discovered near the Tuapeka River in 1861.

Prospectors spent long days shovelling gravel from stream beds into metal pans or wooden

cradles to find gold. Most of the more successful mining towns went on to have pubs, banks,

churches, theatres, schools, and newspapers. By 1865, a new gold rush was happening on the

West Coast at Okarito, Bruce Bay. The gold was from rocks and in sand in river beds.

This is my Chinese gold mine facts. Chinese miners were encouraged to come and rework the

Otago goldfields. They built small stone houses away from the other miners. These miners, who

were mostly from southern China, called New Zealand Sun Kum Shan or the New Gold Mountain.

Arrow town. As well as European supplies, his shop sold Chinese teas, medicines, salted garlic,

pickled lemons, and shrimp sauce.

Gold Mining and Discrimination

 Hello people welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about stuff I know about Gold Mining and Discrimination. I don't know much about Gold Mining and Discrimination because I have not read a book yet. I think discrimination is when you judge someone by there colour or there gender. I know gold mining was relay popular in 1800 when gold was relay common. When people went gold mining they had to ride in a carriage towed bye a horse and and had to put there gold on the back or on the roof. It was most common found in the West Coast in the South Island of New Zealand.

Well Being

 Hello welcome back to my blog to day I am going to talk Te Whare Tapa Wha. For this hur we are doing well being. The well being things are Taha Tinana/physical, Taha Hinengaro/mental and emotional, Te Taha Whanau/ Family and social, Taha Wairua/spiritual and Whenua/Land roots. 

Taha hinengaro is your mind, heart, conscience, thoughts and feelings. It’s about how you feel, as well as how you communicate and think. Taha Tinana/physical It is about how your body grows, feels and moves, and how you care for it. So like have your 5 pulse a day and go for walks. Taha Wairua/spiritual, Your spiritual essence is your life force like your mauri. This is who and what you are, where you have come from and where you are going. Whenua/Land roots, the natural environment is strongly connected to your health and well being. Te Taha Whanau/Family and social is about who makes you feel like you belong, who you care about and who you share your life with.

Mars Work

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to talk about my mars work. This week and last week we have bean doing stuff about mars. We had to read an article about becoming a martian and facts about mars. While reading or after reading we had to do a set of 6 questions and answer them. 

Here is my work.

1. When can a mission to Mars (or from Mars) happen? Why?  When mars is closest to

2. the earth with the next time will be in 2033.
   
   

3. What are geological features of Mars?

The reason that Mars is red is because of the Iron Oxide on the planet.

3. What is one possible solution from the story about oxygen on Mars?
   They use a machine called moxie which uses power to make carbon dioxide into

4. carbon monoxide and oxygen 

 

4. If it doesn’t rain on Mars, where does the water come from?
   You can't find water on mars but carbon dioxide freezes to make a thick layer of ice

5. which melts into water

 

5. How will people get food on Mars? What is a possible solution?

Every 24 moth a supplier comes with 5 tones of food and delivers it but is you

wanted to grow crops you would need special nutrient rich water  and it would

need to be warmer

Reading Work

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to be talking about my reading work. This term we have bean doing a novel study. We had to read a book and do a lot of task. I was reading The Bone TIKI book. I liked this book because it was interesting and not to easy and not to hard to read. The task was listed from chapter 1-3  chapter 4-8 and chapter 9-12. Each task you had to do you had to do 3 tasks. My favourite part of this book was the start page because it sounded interesting.

Story Writing

 Hello welcome back to my blog today I am going to be shearing my Heroes Vs Villains Story Writing. We first had to make a plan on what the story was about. My story was about a hero named Banny and a villain named Danny. My story was set in the Fortnite map, at Weeping woods, Salty Springs, Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake. We also had to draw two pictures about our writing. One of them had to be about our setting and one of our charters. For my setting picture I did Weeping Woods and for my charter I did my hero Banny. My  

Here is my writing and my two pictures.

It was a normal day in the giant mansion in the middle of weeping woods. The water was flowing down

the river with boats making the water crash against rocks, with the birds chirping up high in the tall green

trees. There were heaps of bright colourful tents lined up with huge caravans, they were opposite the

small garage that had heaps of fishing rods and shelves in it. The fire places were all burnt out from

heaps of parties that were probably there. There was a small stream of smoke that was going up high

into the clouds. There was a big wooden bridge that connected the two sides together with a tall watch

tower on the hill above the bridge. You could hear the wind swaying in the tall dark trees. When you walk

down the path where the caravans and tents are you can hear the fire cracking and popping. There were

heaps of animals like wild deer and ducks hiding around trees and in the water so there were heaps of

guns shooting. Heaps of the sticks were breaking under people's feet and when they fell off the trees

they made a bang sound. A lot of helicopters and planes were flying up high in the skys pushing heaps

of the trees with the wind, when they went down for landing. You can taste the fresh air from all of the

trees. The water was nice and cold cause it was straight from the ice cold water. If you want to eat

food you will have to catch it straight from the water. 

It was all fine until there was a massive flood that flooded the entire of weeping woods. The person was a

masked figure who crashed their plane right into the dam, and then I realized that the person who flew

the plane was Danny, the biggest villain in the entire map. The water flooded everything; it first flooded

Weeping Woods, then Salt Springs and then Pleasant Park. Danny who flew their plane into the dam

did that on purpose because he wanted revenge on the fortnite map for destring his house and pitting a

city there. The only thing that survived the flood was the top of the watch tower and 22 people, 4 being in

weeping woods, 6 in salty springs, 10 in pleasant park.

The pilot that flew the plane into the dam and a there was also a guy named banny who hid inside the

hills, he was a hero that saved the fortnite map alot. He saved the map before by protecting salty springs

when Danny tried to destroy it with a huge rocket and he also saved the map when he stopped a meteor

from destroying the map as well.

But back to the huge flood. The flood didn’t affect Banny's house because it was behind the dam and up high. When Banny heard the dam break he went to the top of his house and he saw a giant wave go

over weeping wood. When He saw the wave he instantly thought it was Danny. Banny got his helicopter

and flew right to the dam to see if anyone was alive and how damaged the dam was. After he flew to the

dam he went to see if there were any survivors at weeping woods, he didn’t see anyone anywhere until

he went down to the water, he saw 2 people in the big mansion and 2 people at the top of the watchtower.

He picked them up and took them somewhere safe like at lazy lake and dropped them off at a hotel. He

then flew right to salty springs and instantly saw 4 on a floating platform. He picked them up and then

saw 2 more people swimming, he picked them up and went back to the safe hotel at lazy lake. He then

went to a pleasant park and saw 5 houses half way above the water. There were 5 people in both houses.

There also were two soccer goals on their sides with 5 more people on them. He picked them all up and

dropped them off to lazy lake. 

On Banny's way to see the damage a rocket got shot at Banny’s helicopter and it took him down right

into a salty springs house that was only just under the water. Luckily Banny jumped out of the helicopter

into the water just before the helicopter hit the water and blew up. Banny was not injured as much as you

think it would. Banny ended up swimming to a close by boat, the boat didn’t have much fuel in it so he

had to swim down to the gas station and get some fuel. When he got to the gas station he saw all of the

gas pumps broken leaking out all the fuel. He was searching for fuel for 1 minute, he then realised that

there wasn't any there so he rode the boat to Pleasant park. As soon as he got to Pleasant Park the boat

ran out of gas, so he had to swim to the gas station. At this gas station the pumps were broken as well

so he looked for fuel in the shop place, there was none the as wall. He looked out the back and he saw

two big cans of fuel that were both filled with fuel. The fuel cans were too heavy to bring both of them so

he brought one to the boat and then drove the boat to the over one. He started to go towards the broken

dam to see how much damage there was. 

As soon as he got to the broken dam he found a black parachute with a white stripe down the middle.

There was a trail of footsteps that was slowly fading away, Banny started to follow the footsteps before

they all faded away. They led right into a dark cave. The cave had a small opening where you had to

crawl in to get inside.The crawling part of the cave was 10 meters long until a big opening appeared. The

gap was as big as 1 normal sized helicopter. Banny started to search the cave as soon as the big opening

aperd. He was looking around for 5 hours and couldn't find anything, it was just then he realised that he

was lost because he had been looking for Danny for 5 hours in a creepy dark cave. Banny was looking

for an exit for 4 hours. He was starting to panic because  the cave was starting to fall apart but then he

saw his own footsteps, he then followed them all the way to the exit. When he got out of the cave there

was a truck that was rolling down the hill. Banny thought that Danny was trying to block him in the cave.

Luckily Danny was stupid and forgot to put the hand brack on. Banny got out of the cave and started to

walk over to his boat and realised that it was destroyed and there was a note on it. The note said I did this

but I Put a whole tank of gas on it, From Danny. Banny was super mad. He walked over to the truck

that Danny left. 

He got to the truck it was locked so he had to break the window to get in. The truck had half a tank of

gas in it and a fork that was used as a key. He started to drive towards the lazy lake to see if everything

was stall safe. Lazy Lake looked stall safe from a distions. But when Banny got there he saw a stash of

set c4 ready to blow up around the giant hotel so it would fall onto building’s. Banny tried to get to the c4

before it blew up. When he was 10 meters away then it blew up and pushed banny away. The building fell

quickly down onto a gas station that made a bigger explosion. The gas station explosion pushed heaps

more buildings over and set cars flying all over, It also set trees bushes and heaps of grass patches on fire.

Banny saw Danny laughing on the hill above Lazy Lake. When Banny saw him he Banny started to chase

Danny. Danny got away and hid in a secret cave that has a secret door. Banny saw Danny turn a corner

and diserperd. Banny started to look around for any sites where Danny hid out. He started by looking for

footsteps. He found a trail to a small wooden house on the corner of the mountain. Banny walked up to the

house and opened the door. When he walked inside he fell into a trap. The trap was a paper floor with a

really big hole underneath. 

Banny was looking for a spot to climb out of the big dark hole. The hole was made out of dirt and a few

rocks. Banny was in the hole for 10 minutes before Danny came in. When Danny came in he had a bucket

of water and some food with him he put the buckets of food and water in the hole and left. Banny drank all

of the water and then ate some food. When he finished he stacked the buckets on top of each over. Then

Banny pulled a rock out of the wall and whacked the sides of the wall’s to get some hand space so he

could climb up. Banny put the buckets there so he doesn't have to make much. Banny put two holes for

his feet and two holes for his hands. He put his feet holes just a bit higher than the buckets and he put his

hand holes as high as he could put them. 

When Banny got out he saw Danny walking towards the hole. When Danny got to the door he didn’t see

Banny there so he went up to the hole and looked straight down to see if he could find him. When Danny

got right up to the hole Banny went behind him and pushed him down. When Danny was in the hole Banny

jumped down with a rope and a ladder. Banny tied Danny up and took him up out of the hole.

When they both got out they started walking towards the big prison in the middle of the ocean. To get to

the prison you have to take a helicopter or a boat. The name of the prison was called isolation because

not many people went there. On the way to the boat Banny tripped over and hit his head on a rock and

got knocked out. When Banny tripped over Danny ran to his secret bass and hid. When Danny got to his

hideout he started to plan another mission. 

On the way to the boat Danny saw the prison. When he escaped he wanted to try to break all of the

prisoners out and make a gang. But first Danny had to prepare. He started by preparing  like by making

guns and a good vehicle that could hold heaps of people and is also protected. His plan was to get a

helicopter and modify it. Danny saw a helicopter by the boats when he was getting taken away. There

was one problem though they were guarded by a bunch of gourds. Danny got a random guy and acted

like he was taking him away. When Danny got the helicopter he took it to his bass and started to put

some metal on the sides to armour it up. 

When Danny finished with the protection he went down to the gun store at Catty Corner. When Danny got

to Catty Corner he looked through the containers to see if he could see anyone. Danny finally found

someone and asked where the gun store was. The person who Danny found was Banny. Banny took

Danny to a fake gun store. When they got to the fake gun store there were heaps of guards waiting there

for Danny and Banny. Danny walked in and then got jumped by the guards. The guards and Banny took

Danny to prison and Danny was never seen again.

After that the entire Fortnite map was safe. As soon as Danny was in prison, Banny started to fix all of the

damages. He first started with Lazy Lake by putting out all of the fires and rebuilding the houses. It took

Banny 5 days to fix the entire of Lazy Lake. He then started to fix the dam and get rid of all of the water.

That took Banny half of a year to fix the dam. That was the last time anything happened to the fortnite

map.

9.Pirate: Can I talk like a pirate?  Ay, matie!  Avast! Ahoy!  Aye-aye, I can!   Shiver me timbers! I can talk like a pirate better than any lily-livered, jelly-legged sea-goer that ever there once was!  I says whatever I’ve got to say in a pirate way and if any bilge-sucking buccaneer says I don’t, I’ll cleave him to the brisket!  I swear on Davy Jones’ Locker, to be a true blue pirate you’ve got to be able to load a cannon and fire it- but most important you’ve got to talk like a pirate!
